In 2021, I followed Buffalo’s first-ever wheelchair football team as they competed in a national tournament. The story focused on adaptive athletes discovering a new purpose through competition and camaraderie.

Concrete Gridiron premiered in July 2022 and raised $45,000 for adaptive sports in Buffalo.

In January 2023, the film was acquired and distributed nationally by PBS.

With momentum and positive reactions from ‘Concrete Gridiron’, I knew there was more we could do in the Wheelchair Football space.

In Fall 2023, alongside some great partners in PBS and Move United, I produced the sport’s first-ever multicam broadcast.

With six cameras, on-air talent, and dynamic halftime packages, we created a groundbreaking show to highlight these amazing athletes.

Full game broadcasts aired across each team’s local market and are available streaming on PBS YouTube.
